1990 Mirage 1.5 clutch
Can anyone tell me the best way to adjust the clutch? I have looked for info all over the net... haven't found any. I guess the 1st question is if it is a self-adjusting clutch?
My clutch is starting to slip. It engages very high, and if i punch the accelerator during regular driving, i get a rev, and then re-engage even though i didn't press the clutch in. wondering if i can adjust it, or if i need to replace my current clutch. I believe this is the original clutch and i have 148,000 on the car.... Sorry for the post if this is common knowledge... Thanks... |

Re: 1990 Mirage 1.5 clutch
If your clutch is the hydraulic type, then sorry.. it's almost self adjusting.... you can only adjust the pump lever to pump more ..... that's it.....
but if you use the cable type clutch...... then there will be a adjusting screw in the engine bay where the clutch lever is suppose to be in the drivers cockpit. turn that screw to loosen the initial pull of the clutch to get more gripping for the clutch.... |
