Just wondering how many Mazda5 owners frequent this site.

Re: Any Mazda 5 owners out there?
Hi,
I'm a 5-owner wanna be. I'm trying to see what owners say. Not too many on this forum. The 5 is real close to what I want, but I really wish it was 7 passengers. How comfortable are the 2 rear-most seats? |

Re: Any Mazda 5 owners out there?
They are definitely for small children only. Not a lot of leg room and they only come up to your mid back or so. The middle and front seats are really great though! On another note, I was upside down approx. $3300 when I traded our previous family car in for the 5, and one year later I am no longer upside down. It's amazing!
I would recommend this car to anyone with 1-2 kids (families of 3 or 4 total), but 3 kids (5 person families) make it a little cramped on a road trip, or even getting groceries for the month. It's not horribly cramped, but enough to want to invest in roof racks and cargo carrier. |

Re: Any Mazda 5 owners out there?
The 5 is a great economical vehicle for a small family. We down-sized from a mini van becasue both of my kids are of driving age so rarely do we have 4 passengers. It is great to haul whatever you need; I have filled it with camping gear several times. That leads me to the only real complant I have about the vehicle; when loaded it really lacks power for highway travel. This is only a small percentage of the time we use it so it is a fair trade for the 24mpg we get driving around town. Fun to drive, handles well and sharpe looking...go fo it.

Re: Any Mazda 5 owners out there?
Looking hard at a 2008 Maxda5 Test drove one today and liked it. Downsizing from a Windstar but will need lots of seats since baby #3 is on the way. It will be an adjustment from the van but gas pump trips will no longer leave me crying. How has the fit finish, quality been? They don't sell many of theese do they?
