late 80s Grand Am - under seat question
Hello all:
I am an attorney and I am working on a case and in the case, a person testifies that it is easily possible for the front seat passenger of a late 1980s grand am to slide a handgun under the front passenger seat and into the rear right footwell. Can anyone tell me how hard it would be to perform such a feat? are there obstructions? I believe it was not a powered seat. THANKS! |

Ok. Since no one seems to know the answer, how about some thoughts on where to go for the answer. ??

I would say inspect the car, or a like model, and see for yourself if this is possible. Most of us don't just have one of these nearby to take a look at. It would be the same as a 1980 Olds Omega.

Re: late 80s Grand Am - under seat question
these were all 2 doors i think back then. and unless their arms is 8 ft long i doubt it could be stuck back there from the front pass. seat. its possible it might slide to the back but i doubt it would get over the hump where the back seat is mounted. plus to much in the way, they'd have to work it around the backseat along the body/window but still its pretty much sealed to the trunk other than a few holes. I'll see if i can find some pics
