Official Metro Parts Mail Order list

I am always looking for "parts"

I have a few places in my "Bookmarks" to order used Geo Metro parts from.

Wouldn't it be nice to have a really, really big list of such places to order from
while on the Internet?

If you know of any reputable Web Sites to inquire and then order from, please
add a post to this thread with the name and link.

Please go to the link you have, to check and to see if it still works.

Highlight the link on the address bar of your browser and press ctrl-C.

Put the cursor into your Post and press ctrl-V to paste it in on a line by itself.

This will help all of us find parts and also get the best prices.

If you get cheated, put it on this thread and we'll teach them a lesson!

DoctorBill

Here are some I have: (Note:I will add to / update this list as time goes on.)

Metro and Swift Performance Parts

Team Swift

Turbo parts

John's Foreign Engines & Parts

Injectors

Parts Web Search by State

Irene's in Seattle - I bought from her and no problem!

Rock Auto

Auto Parts

Replacement.car.stuff

Used Parts Central

Used Parts Live

Transmission Exchange

Here is a man who repairs ECM (Vehicle's Computer) for $50 3 day turnaround in Mississippi.....

Re: Let's start a BIG Web Metro Parts Mail Order list with links.

To the administrators of this Forum...please delete this thread!

There is no interest in it....

I'd do it myself, but I don't know how.

DOC;
I don't think its a lack of interest (we all need parts) I think its that you've covered the majority of sources. But heres one to add for used parts http://car-part.com/ it will let you search by state or region and give you an idea whats out there. Naturally they only catalog the larger parts so tirm parts and small stuff probably won't be listed.

Re: Let's start a BIG Web Metro Parts Mail Order list with links.

I would add Transmission Exchange (www.txchange.com) in Oregon. They have all the soft parts - clutches and band - to rebuild the auto transmission on the metro. Good price - as I recall about $2 for each clutch plate and each disc and about $13 for the band. They also sell the gasket pack and depending on your luck they also have a good selection of used hard parts for the transmission. They may do a packaged rebuild kit and can also order you any special transmission service tools from ATEC or KM if you need it but for that I've found ebay a better source for price when they do become available.

You can email the forum mod and ask this thread to be made a "sticky"

Because there is an extra "http://" at the begining of the link.

I fixed them.

No need to delete it Doc! New users will find it helpfull.....I just E-Mail'd the Guy who repairs ECM's and wouldn't of had a clue about His existence if I hadn't found the info here!....... I've dealt with Rock Auto several times and you can always find "Discount Codes" on other forums etc.. That will give you another 5% off your bill....They ship quick (And Cheap $$$), Prices are good. Here's a Rock Auto Discount code I found off the Impala SS Forum, which I've been a long time member..... (Code is good until February 20, 2007).

Something interesting!

I subscribe to Discovery Magazine and RockAuto has a Color Ad in the back of
the Magazine! A science magazine!

Amazing....
