Re: Preping my car?
both cars are 222hp engines (assuming we're talking about an sl or base DOHC and a non tt 300zx)
if you are both manual it will be a pretty good race but I've heard we are able to beat them out from a dig because our gearing is apparently a little better. They have RWD over our FWD though so you'd have to get the launch perfect. If one is an auto and one is a manual then the auto would probably lose. As far as prepping, I'm not too sure. Do you want to know what mods can be done in short notice to get some extra speed or what you should do to be ready to race? I'd just say get a full tank of gas and have some fun. |

I think he means for the long drive to texas.
I'd suggest oil lube etc. get the fluids checked and everything just a good thorough check up. especially if you haven't been completely religious about check ups. Bad things have happened on long trips. I remember my mom once went to pick up our grandparents jimmy and drive it across country to our place. it blew a piston halfway home, god solid dependable aily driver, just wasnt good for long trips. oops goin off topic heh yeah. Just do a nice thourough check up, and pray nothin breaks. Have a nice trip.

Check fluids, and tire pressure.

Re: Preping my car?
Uhhh rebuild the engine and transmission, put in all new suspension and brake systems, replace all your fuel system components, get some new tires and you'll be good to go. Or just what the other guys said, either way. But seriously, you might want to change your air filter, from what i've seen on westerns its dusty and hot in Texas, and you want to make sure your engine can breathe.
