Question A perfect car that only looks demolished

I'm attracted to the idea of a car where every single panel is dented, but the car is otherwise perfect and perfectly functioning - the interior, the engine, the tires, the windows roll down and doors open and lock, the trunk opens, etcetera.

Is it possible to buy or "make" something like this? Like a real sleeper in a sense?

No, I'm not a bot. I'm not sure what you mean. I'm not trying to be funny.

Didn't think you were trying to be funny. Building a sleeper can be fun. Check out the Farm Truck videos on YouTube.

Look up "bot". Google is your friend here.

Reason I asked is that we get a lot of them here on AF.

Nobody called you a dummy that I know of...but I do believe that the reasons for keeping the existing software were explained to you in another thread. Sorry you don't like the software.

No one has called you a dummy, but the fact is none of your ideas you keep harping about will change anything. Bots and spammers have been around forever. What you don't know is the software catches a ton of them. Stuff gets moderated by the very forum software that you think is inferior.

Changing the UI, changing the layout, nothing will change the bots and spammers, and nothing will return forums to the glory days.

I'm not sure why you're so convinced of yourself but it's honestly getting tiring seeing you repeating yourself constantly and you're constantly told the same thing.

Point blank: I want to see dedicated-topic forums(like AF) survive, and revive, and I want to see "social network" sites fade. That's all.

Here, you get knowledge about car repairs. On socials, you get opinions and arguments.

Re: A perfect car that only looks demolished

I can't stand social media either, but the facts are the facts. Also, you repeating yourself and blaming the forum software does nothing to help either because the forum software is not an issue. I don't know if you think that by repeating yourself blaming the software will make it true or what, but it's just not true.

Part of a moderators duty is banning/deleting spammers and bots. I have been a mod here since probably 07. I think I've ever had to clean up a thread that got a little out of control once or twice. I've literally deleted and banned several thousand spammer/bot posts myself. That doesn't include what other mods have done. 90% of those were caught by the forum software and no one but mods could actually see them.

As I've repeated time and time again spammers are nothing new and the software has nothing to do with their appearance now.

I saw some vids. That's a trip!

I might be using the word sleeper incorrectly though. I don't mean like a track car or tuner. I would just use the car for everyday use - going to work, picking up groceries, road trips maybe. I guess I just like the slightly banged up aesthetic. I don't like mismatched panels or parts or anything though, so no like rat rods or hot rods.

I hope I'm making sense. Anyway, it's just a vision.

A beater, the type of car everyone stays at least one space away from at the suburban supermarket lot, lol! A car you're not afraid to drive into the city in.

Yeah, definitely a theft deterrent!

I just want it in some way where it's otherwise absolutely mechanically and functionally perfect besides the way it looks.
