Jurva that's exactly what I used!
3M makes a red color tape but I don't have that so I painted some Tamiya masking tape with red. I'm thinking about making the strips thinner...on the 1:1 the red is actually 2 plates, not painted stripes. |

That aircleaner looks great. I really like how you did the red stripes around it. Your builds are always impressively detailed, great work!

Some awsome detail. So much for just taking it out of the box and builting it.

I started working on the triple carb throttle linkage and detailing. This is my attempt at making small enough return springs.
Each carb will have a linkage on the left side...it's a pain! I'm using parts from a photoetched carb-linkage set. |

I think they're small enough! Wow, what attention to detail! Please continue, I'll be watching eagerly.

I had to compromise a little for the linkages... so it's kind of simplified but I think it worked out okay and looks similar to the 1:1's!
http://community.webshots.com/photo/...75156278xIgojz 1/3 of the way and I'll finish this sucker off! |

Looks good to me! I can already hear the air sucking past the butterflies. Amazing work.

Thanks for the feedback!
The carbs/air filter are now in place. I'm not sure about using the Revell(1/25) chrome valve cover or the Fujimi(1/24) matching silver valve cover... Distributor is on and needs to be wired: Next up is the fuel line to carbs and back...then onto the accelerator linkage |
