Re: extreme ford focus RS
at last, we're beginning to get somewhere! that's it nearly done! no point in bleating on, i'll let the pictures do the talking
this is before the laquer stage... i'm afraid that it'll go wrong with the laquer coat and eat the plastic!!! i have given the first coat of laquer now, hopefully all is well! here's the progress pics... (remember, none of the parts are actually assembled as yet, all loose fitted) wheels... interior... body... as i said, i hope these pics are not the last of the car, i'm praying the laquer does it's job... so far it looks good, although it's only been on the model for about 20 mins, but no melting plastic so far! it's really only construction now, and a few coats of laquer so i can buff it up nice and shiney. i have to say that when i started this, i had an idea of what i wanted, but i'm pleased to say that i have surprised myself and surpassed my thoughts! there are a couple of bits and bobs that could have done with a bit more time taken on them, but my impatience got the better of me again, although they are not that bad! thoughts and comments always welcome cheers boab |

Re: extreme ford focus RS
the paint is Peugeot seville orange on the front and Honda nighthawk black pearl on the back.
the good news is the laquer hasn't had an adverse affect on the plastic!! although it has made the paint on the roof go a bit funny! but a few more coats and it should be ok! |

Re: extreme ford focus RS
finished!
she got 3 coats of clear put on, just needs a little buff up on the roof and she's a beaut! i smoked the rear windows for effect and added some window decals. overall i'm well happy with my performance on this one, mabey not to the standard of some of you guy's, but i'm improving with every build! thanks for watching folks, all comments (good or bad) welcome next project... 2 AMT 1969 Yanko Camaro's from the "2 fast 2 furious" range. 1 will be factory standard, the other will be a mega monster complete with RB26 engine (if it fits!) thaqnks folks boab |
