Talking Back To Basics, Box Stock, Super Peel Stang'

Hey guys... well, I felt like snappin some pics, so here's my SS stang (SS-SuperStallion, not SuperSport)

The paint, well, it has 4 different paints on it:
1: Enamel grey primer
2: Mists of Tamiya Mica Blue
3: Mists of Testors Sapphire Blue Metallic (ran outta mica)
4: Mists of Boyds True Blue Pearl (ran out of the above)

The interior is stock, flat brown with a heavily sanded smooth revell ITR steering wheel, too lazy to paint the factory wheel

The wheels are box stock with gunmetal centers (will be recoated)

The motor is stock with tamiya clear blue on the ribs in the supercharger

If anyone is remotely interested in this, let me know and Ill keep updating, if not, Ill just delete. Also, sorry for the blurry pics, and the pics speak for themselves.

In close to 5 hours, I get one post. Thanks Slo-snipe. At least somebody is interested. Oh well, Ill update tomorrow, hopefully the peely body will be clear coated at least 1 time, I usually do it three so I have plenty of clear to sand down and polish out for a not so peely surface. Don't ask how, but the black hood on my ITR was super peely after 2coats of clear, major wet sanding with 2k grit and 6 coats of turtle wax, I could read off it! and that's the best I've ever done.

The stang is coming along nicely, I like the gunmetal centers on the stang, you don't see that alot on these cars. It has a real deep blue color from what i can tell, can't wait to see how it looks after the clear and it gets rubbed out.

ive found that not a single Mustang kit fits together right, the SS has several problems, when you put every thing together right, and then put on the wheels, following the directions, it looks like a jacked up piece of shit thats riding 3 feet off the ground, and the engine is a bit side ways in the engine bay. so one tip, glue the wheels to the wheel wells, it will make it a LOT lower, and MORE realistic.

Looks badass. Those rims are really gonna set off the blue, and I think the interior color will actually be ok once you get it together (interiors are weird like that). The back to basics idea is good, I need to do that soon. Just shake a box and smile. And they always somehow turn out the best....

Thanks for your replies. No, the white wont be sprayed, it looks pretty stupid to me. This one will just be blue, the engine is crooked and I will fix that. Ill slamm the suspension later on after I see how it rides. Just may put the bigger wheels from the S351W on it to fill out the wells.
