Spark Plug problem
Ok, so I've been having some trouble with my 1.6L DOHC Storm GSi, and I finally got it worked out to spark plugs( I think...) but I have a few problems.
1. The plugs currently in my storm are Champion RV12YC's, but everywhere I go they recommend Autolite AP3924's. This seem wrong, seeing as the Autolites have 2x the thread, and are in general longer than the Champion's in my car. Are the Champions the wrong ones, or are the Autolites wrong? 2. I have no clue what the Gap should be on my car, and I keep finding conflicting numbers on line. Can anyone help me out here? Any help is appreciated. |

Re: Spark Plug problem
Sorry, I can't help you, but Hanes should have your make + model.

Re: Spark Plug problem
Ok, so it turns out the spark plugs in my car WERE wrong, and that attributed to the weird idle and running rough, but its still not perfect, looks like I have more work to do yet on this baby. Anyone have suggestions?
heres a list of what I have already done(to save me from answering "I already did that") 1. New heater hose lines and check other coolant hoses 2. New Thermostat 3. New radiator cap 4. New Distibutor cap 5. check timing belt 6. new acc belt 7. new spark plugs 8. new fuel filter I think thats it mechanically, anything else I should be worried about, especially at 160k? |
