Differential swap 2000 swift from 1991 sprint

I have a 2000 swift with an automatic transmission. The differential side bearings seem loose, 1 on the shaft, and one bearing itself is loose. I can get my hands on a 1991 sprint manual transmission cheap. Would I be so lucky that the differential from a 1991 sprint manual transmission would fit in a 2000 swift automatic transmission? A lot to ask I know but worth a shot.

Update: It works. All I had to do was change the gear on the diff. One side bearing is different also but I was changing them anyway.

Update 2: You have to modify the diff. to get the bearings the right distance apart. With a good machinist it's no problem.
