HELP!! 03 cavalier stereo removal help
i have a 2003 chevy cavalier 2 door completely stock and i just recently boughrt a dual 200 watt 7inch tft touch screen dvd/cd player and i can not figure out how you get the old stereo out of the car i pulled the clip out thats on the left side but theres also a round black chord that runs directly in to the stereo and theres no way to take it out of the head unit period i even tore the whole head unit apart the black wire is wired directly into the stereo and the other end of that black wire shoots back through my dash i need information on how to get that stereo system out of there completely without having to cut through that black chord thats a major pain especially since my new head unit cost me 500 dollars and i wanna see it in my car PLEASE HELP ME !!! HAHA thank you very much

Do you have a special stereo like the GMLAN or anything? OnStar eqipped? That does indeed sound like an antenna.

Ive heard that newer cavaliers(if not all chevys) need a special wiring harness to hook up aftermarket players. not sure if its true or not. and just a thought, you paid $500 for anything Dual, u got ripped.
