Unhappy model budget cut way back

i have to cut my model budget from $300 a month to $50 a month, see i just bought a new car it's a 1995 mazda millenia the mose beautiful car i have ever owned it also put a $3500 dent in my pocket. so my modeling is going to be very slow . but oh well now i got a cool 1:1. i can get pics later if anyone wants to see this beauty. thanks.

$300! Wow, that's a lot. I myself only spend $10-$40 USD for paint/styrene... I stop purchasing kits.

Get some pics of the Mazda!

Re: model budget cut way back

I used to have a millenia that same color...was an awsome car....got a deal on it. I paid $4500 and only had 60,000 miles. I totaled it a year later in a bad accident that involved 3 other cars in front of me ( a Ford explorer rammed into the car in front of me and after the impact came back down on the hood of mine)
Anyways for the sake of staying on topic.....sux about the cutback in your modeling budget, but trust me throw some subs in the trunk and you won't miss the funds going into modeling b/c I know how it feels to own a car that feels like you spent twice the money to own.....like a cadilac on an escort budget..\
enjoy

gonna have those pics after i go wash it so its not dirty, see i walked in the lot and said i wanted a car and showed him my check and he said that he had somthing i whould like but it was not detialed, so i got to go clean all the salt from the roads off it, i know it sounds stupid to wash a car when it's -10F outside, but i am not takeing any chances with rust.

Re: model budget cut way back

Just a litle OT here for a sec, if I may?

How quick are Millenias? I was looking to possibly sell my 89 BMW 735i and get another semi-luxury cruiser. So far I've looked at the last generation Mazda 929 which I've always loved the look of, a first generation Infiniti Q45, a Lexus LS400, and the Millenia.

Anyway, nice car, love the style. Just keep the car maintained for now and I'm sure you're modeling budget will soon increase again.

well how fast depends on what verison you are getting base or the s verison, the s is supercharged. ha, funny thing happen today on the way to mankato i was on the on ramp to the highway and this black civic squezes besides me and trys to cut me off and then he floored it and started to take off (i noticed that he had apc and mugen stickers on the tail lights ) so i floored it to by the time i got beside him we where doing 120mph and his car started falling behind i am supposeing he topped out, but i was at 135mph at only 4500rpm and it felt like the car had alot more to go before it whould top out, it was so fun. i got some pics i will post in a sec, ohh by the way never wash a car when it's -10F outside and then get out to take a pic( the door froze shut .
