very poor acceleration
So the title only explains one issue with this car (98 lumina 3100 v6) it accelerates very slowly. I floored it thinking it might go just a bit faster but no change. what's odd is the rpms didnt revv high either. I also noticed that around 3000 rpms the airbag and voltage light come on the dash. whats up with that? Are these problems related? also the ani-lock light comes on after a minute or two. Why?

Lots of things wrong here, tough to diagnose from here, does it misfire, hold back go flat?

Re: very poor acceleration
This is going to sound strange, but my neighbor had a similar problem with his 2001 Lexus ES300. The ABS, check engine, and stability control fault lights came on. The diagnostic code was for the throttle pedal position sensor, the one on the gas pedal for throttle by wire. I could not find what was wrong, so he took it to Lexus. $300 dollars later, they diagnosed it as a clogged catalytic converter. I found where he could order it on the internet for $300 ( Lexus wanted a total of $1100 for the job), and the local garage installed it for $100. The problem was solved, for 6 months at least. He was told that he might need the second converter also ( there are three). He hasn't had the second repair yet.
