93 trans sport not getting spark

my husband bought me a van and it wont start. the ac compressor froze so we removed it. the van would make a click click sound when trying to start it. now that the ac comp. is gone it will turn but it isnt getting a spark? any help would be great.

First, a blocked a/c compressor would need a blocked a/c clutch too to block the starter from turning the engine....so I'm a little skeptical here, but it is possible nevertheless.
AS I understand it now, you just hear click click but the starter would not rotate the engine anyway....
