Who here will be following Speed World Challenge?
It may not have the prestige of ALMS, the fiancial backing of Grand Am, or the history of Trans-Am, but Speed World Challenge is the fastest growing and most wildly popular form of road racing in the U.S.
The strengths of the series are its close competition (thanks to carefully managed modification allowances and "victory ballast") and the diversity of its grids. In the fast and star-filled GT class, you've got Audi RS4 sedans, Volvo S60R sedans, Porsche 911 GT3's, BMW M3's, Corvette Z06's, Ferrari 360 Modena's (Challenge Stradales, 360GT's, and so forth), Morgan Aero 8's, Pontiac GTO, Caddilac CTS-V (factory effort, too), and a lone turbo RX-7. It's fast and stellar racing. Slightly less fast, but incredibly tight and action-packed, is the Touring division. BMW 328i's, Mazda 6's, Lexus IS300's, Nissan Sentras, Acura RSX's, Mini Cooper S's, SVT Focuses, and several other cars. It's fun and great racing, and the closest we have to an American BTCC. So, who's a fan?

Re: Who here will be following Speed World Challenge?
FWIW, it's kind of neat to wach the races at the track and then catch what you missed on TV a couple of weeks later. All the races except Lime Rock are with ALMS this year, which is a great racing package with something for everyone
