Nice. Very nice. Traveling to France I'd like to see the WWII beaches, then go to Paris for the Eiffel, Notre Dame, The Louvre, then travel to the country and visit some cheese making places, vineyards, then head down to the beaches with the wine and cheese.

Despite the fact that my ancestors (The British) spent the best part of the last 600 years either fighting the French or helping save them from the Germans, I still regard France as the center of Western culture.

In recent years, I have been dismayed by the negative things some (imho misguided) American journalists have said about France. It is a very worthwhile place to visit.

I've been there and seen them. Although an interesting place and very historically relevant, there really isn't a lot to see or do there. That's what i found at the time, i may've been very drunk though, don't remember!
