05 jetta transmission fluid

How do I fill the transmission with fluid? Where is the filler cap? 2005 VW Jetta with a 2.5 L engine.

Re: 05 jetta transmission fluid

No fill port to check. You have to suck out the fluid through a drain plug at the transmission. The transmission fluid is considered a lifetime fluid and does not need changing or fluid to be added. The only time you service the transmission is when you have problems shifting or loosing fluid around the transmission. Are you having problems?
If so, take to the dealer for ultimate satisfaction. If not, you need to do nothing until service time. Check your service manual.

Does this pertain to a Jetta GLS 2.0 Ltr. as well? Thanks.

There is a fill plug on the auto trans. If looking from below on the front there is a red cap. You have to break the cap off an thn remove the plug. Fill from there
