Door Lock Actuator Stopped Working

Out of the blue my door lock on the drivers side has stopped working properly. The problem has been diagnosed as the door lock actuator. Can this part be repaired, unstuck, or otherwise made to work or is the only solution to replace the actuator?

Re: Door Lock Actuator Stopped Working

usually it needs to be replaced. check the rods inside the door first, sometimes they bind or come undone. if they are good, replace the actuator.

Re: Door Lock Actuator Stopped Working

yea.. mine does the same thing. If I physically use my key to lock the driver side door.. i can use the button to lock the rest, and arm the alarm..........
