McLaren - A Living Legend
the first prototype, is the only F1 car that was destroyed. It burned down during the final testing The text is a little inaccurate, as can be seen in this section!! |

I've also removed the owners names out of respect to their privacy and the fact that some were wrong. The car seen in Monaco is NOT owned by L.O.J. |

Re: Recap of European F1 Fleet (EXCLUDING England)
I know who owns the 2 Monaco cars but will not say because i was told them in confidence and i'm not going about posting names on here anymore. I think we should all be more careful about posting names on here and consider if they want their names "public" or not.

It is my understanding that chassis #075 was sold this past year, but I have heard nothing yet about where it may have gone to unfortunately.

The translation of the text is correct but can be misunderstood. The meaning is that McLaren used the car to test the Merc V12 engines. Not that somebody tested it FOR McLaren. Hope you understand how I mean? As of today, # 064 is owned by a company called Autoropa in Sweden. They have owned the car for a while now, since aug 31st 2006. The car is categorized in the Swedish road administration system as "deregistered" as of dec 18 2006. Maybe it´s been sold and exported? It´s not on Autoropas website either. If you haven´t seen them, there´s some pics of it from 2005 when it was at the Falsterbo carshow. The pics can be seen here: http://www.sweracing.com/fsbocarshow/falsterbosond.html 11R that was for sale in Germany at KS Autohandel is still registered to Pacific Sportscars in Stockholm as we´ve seen in another thread. I can´t see it on KS Autohandels homepage anymore? http://www.ks-autohandel.de/Carlist.aspx And maybe you´ve seen these pics before but there are lots of them from the Stockholm Auto Fair in 2003 which can be found here: http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=30054 /P |
