Re: 73rd Goodwood Members Meeting - March 21st and 22nd 2015

Okay 4 weeks to go.
I thought I could ask some photograph things here from those, who have been there in Goodwood, perhaps last years Members Meeting.

- What to expect?

- How close can get the cars during pitlane area before the cars are lining up to wait to the track?

- DId I understood right that no presscard needed to go area where the cars are located before lining up to track?

- What are the light conditions, shadows or lights in the pitlane area?

- The Driving images : seems there is plenty of places to shoot the cars on the track?

- Interiour shots, possible or not?

- IF anyone has something to tell his experiences from there, please do so. I have thought these things a lot, the limited time shooting cars in pitlane area is not problem (meaning people walking cross the shooting line), but how close there is possibilities to go?

Thanks for the answers!

There is around one month to go this years Members Meeting.
This we all ready know:

GTR's Confirmed are:
- #02R
- #03R
- #06R
- #07R
- #10R
- #13R
- #16R
- #19R
- #24R
- #27R

Total this moment 10 GTR's.

How ever; I can not say for sure about these ones, are these confirmed or not:
- #04R
- #20R

And, if we are very lucky; this could be incredible gathering.
IF:
- BMW Museum brings there #18R and #26R
- Rofgo Collection ends up there with #15R and #22R
- #12R shows up
- #14R shows up
- and what about #01R or XP1 LM or 56XPGT then?

Lots of questions still open. BUT let's hope the best.

#26R is confirmed as well - with Steve Soper behind the wheel.

Re: 73rd Goodwood Members Meeting - March 21st and 22nd 2015

This is good news indeed. Seems #18R will not be there. #26R was driven last year so seems BMW Museum has kept the car driving shape.
This information what I have; 4 JJ Lehto's cars there. Hope the #01R would be the Fifth.!

Anyone knows that did JJ tested #19R any point?

I'm not friend of JJ really, but I don't know is he there. I think if he will be somewhere present; it's Le Mans.

Re: 73rd Goodwood Members Meeting - March 21st and 22nd 2015

Okay, this is going to be good. All these and cars which I have never ever imagine to see on live. Like those old Maserati's, birdcage, 250F's, and then those Shelbys, Aston Martins and all those Group C's even Peugeot is there!...Oh my.
Perhaps you others; who have visited these shows before won't see this like me but this is heaven to me, to see that entry list.

And what comes GTR's, it must be the #01R which is only static displayed there. Aron Hasu has then 2 1995 spec GTR's or is there mistake on the year?
Rofgo's very welcome and BMW Museum #26R. Brilliant. I can not wait.

I just hope the GTR's and Group C's would be the place where you can shoot the cars well and so on. And now, have to start to plan where to go with the camera. You can not be 3 different places same time....

Re: 73rd Goodwood Members Meeting - March 21st and 22nd 2015

#01R is most likely, and most desired seeing as the whole gathering is about that car winning Le Mans, however it had been mentioned previously that both LARK cars may be present so perhaps it'll be #04R...

AH has '95 and a '96 GTR's so that's a typo / they were misinformed.

I believe 100% that the car which is only static display is the #01R. They simply can not leave it home. And yes good point; no mentions #04R or #20R eather. So surprises will be defenitely coming!
I just hope #21R would find it's way there too....

Why not, it belongs there at least one on the paddock, the starting point which become to GTR and Le Mans winner and if we think this way; XP1 LM would be nice to see what happended after the Le Mans.

But I think next under 2 weeks; we can only hope the best!

Is there any change to get any detail information about GTR's, and McLaren plans in the event?

Re: 73rd Goodwood Members Meeting - March 21st and 22nd 2015

Hello,

I wonder if the absence of the GTRs on the Tag Heuer display at Geneva could have a link with Goodwood ? Not enough time to bring back the cars to be ready for goodwood...

With the rate EUR/GBP at 1.3888, the entry is 180€ for two days and 110€ for one day.

Do you know if it's possible to buy tickets cheaper ?

Nor Nicob, nor Vincent are able to come, so it's difficult to come alone.
Many thanks if you can help.

Phil
