It made me wordless when watching this clip. I can even still understand well that I really was there and I really saw these GTR's!!!

lets start with an odd story I was in two minds if I would go too the MM, on the grounds that it would be cold, windy, track temps low, meaning the GTR,s would not be on it, value for money in relation to the entry price, seen all the GTR,s before etc etc. Last Tuesday I entered the Pistonheads ticket competition, Wednesday I was informed I had won two tickets, next day I was informed I had won another two tickets from another person from Haymarket magazines. This as it transpired was a duplicate of the first ticket win. So with two tickets in hand it would have been rude not to turn up.

The line up of GTR,s was very impressive indeed and very well turned out by all concerned Track action was great with Steve Soper and Kenny Brack circulating at a very quick pace (now that warmed me up ) also good to see other owners (who are not racing drivers) out on track enjoying themselves.

The open paddock atmosphere was really special, talking to owners, drivers team personel etc and not to forget forum members which added to the days
pleasure, I will not list everybody in fear of offending anybody left out, but you know who you all are

Finally on to Sami ,..... one has to remember that Sami had not seen any GTR,s for some seventeen years or so, some of us on here see them all the time at events etc throughout those years. This explains his excitement at being there, even now he still cannot believe he was actually there. I am really pleased for him that he did attend and it was such a pleasure to meet him as well as helping with a few bits and pieces that hopefully made his trip from Finland that little bit extra special.

As for the 73MM event....... move it to a warmer month and as long as you have some GTR,s there, Ill come again........maybe I,ll buy some tickets next time, (thanks Haymarket )

What a odd story indeed Martin! But it just showed that the weekend would be come fantastic; like it did!

It was fantastic to see Kenny and Steve pushing flat out, specialty on Sunday. Absolutely stunning stuff. And what comes that atmosphere in the paddock. I have never experienced feelings like this, Helsinki were different thing.
Suddenly there was Steve Soper heading to #26R and then some where pops up Kenny Brack and then you saw Derek Bell walking somewhere in the paddock. And there were just like normal people out there.

Meaning more words; these days when everybody are talking about how much cars should be reduce fuel economy and so on; and then you come to Goodwood and everyone drives flat out on the track cars which are not perhaps the safer ones to do so.

It was amazing feeling, perhaps Derek Bell walked past you, same time Ferrari Flat 12 was screeming in the track; looking all that what was qoing on.... It just was something. Very special, time travel to days when no one really did not care any economy or anything. Fantastic.!

Martin; Thank you for your kind words. Yes indeed; 17 years went from Helsinki's FIA GT1 race weekend and now in 73rd MM;
I finally met the GTR's and their incredible sound in the track. And then had luck with the cold test drives, and two of them were JJ's ex racers including the Le Mans winner and 1997 Le Mans car. And watching those images from Helsinki Motor Show, where #16R were static displayed those days; I can not believe I sat on it! I sat all these tree GTR's. Even still all these experiences makes my heart bumping quicker!

I never forget Martin your help, this includes Mark and the Member of McLarens staff. I never forget this event. It was so nice to meet people around the Europe; gathering here 73rd MM to get faces all these names in this Forum.
What a weekend. Usually things like this doesn't happen to me, but seems and it's fact now:
- Sometimes ever the most impossible dreams can become true.

At the moment I make this posting it's about a week after an incredible weekend.
When I look back at the pictures, I'm still amazed what an awesome gathering this Members Meeting was.
This week a bit of picture-silence from my side, but today I sorted out some.
At first, Friday.

Despite the message I got Friday isn't a public day, managed to enter and made some pics.
A little advantage in my opinion, less people in the shots.
Friday shots for now, next time Saturday and Sunday.

Some nice stories and info heard too

Random some of my notes:
* BMW Classic owns 3 chassis.
* BMW owned silver road car #016 engine runs 10years ago last time, after that only static on display.
* 28R has about 200km after it's restoration job was finished 2 years ago.
* 28R is one of the cars on track during Historic Grand Prix Zandvoort 2015 with Steve Soper behind the wheel.
* 01R still has it's original fuel cell, and will not be driven on track anymore, Ron D wants to keep it, no further risks.
* Gregor Fisken drove just 1 race in a GTR, Silverstone '98, before that he raced in Austins.
* GT90'sRevival is hard to return, because too many owners won't take the risk to damage their costly CLK GTR's / GT1's / F1 GTR's / etc

I would like to thank everyone for sharing these awesome photos, videos and memories with us, especialy fot the ones who couldn't attend.
And also a big thank to the owners and mclaren and all the other people involved for making an event like this happen.

Such an interesting read of all the stories and all the photos from every imaginable angle of these cars are just superb. Feels like attending the meeting too. I am happy for all the guys who had a good time.

Just hope to make similar experiences in le mans in june as flights and tickets are booked!! I am pretty stoked and look forward for that.
