'04 Silverado 4x4 LS/what will fit??
I'm thinking about getting larger tires and wheels with the appropriate width to go with them. Stock is 245/75/16. I would like to go to 285/75/16 on 16x8 wheels without having to do any kind of lift. If this won't work, maybe 265/75/16 on those same 16x8 wheels. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks

you can probably fit 265's on your stock wheel

A 275/70-16 is the largest we have test fit without a lift kit.

Re: '04 Silverado 4x4 LS/what will fit??
Grant- is that wider or larger diameter. 'cause a 265/75(also available on Silverado) has a larger diameter and a 285/75 is only a hair wider than the 275/70. Anyhow, I've got my 16x8 wheels now, and went to a local tire shop and they measured and said that the 285/75 would fit okay. Which is great, but are they blowing smoke up my a**, because now I would worry about suspension play. Decisions, decisions!!
