Model Factory Hiro making Ferrari models in 24th again?

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but MFH re-started releasing new Ferraris in 1/24th again? When did that happen? I see new 488 kit - anything else got released? Hopefully they continue. Their kits are a handful to build, but they do build into very nice models.

Re: Model Factory Hiro making Ferrari models in 24th again?

MFH has primarily been producing 1/12 kits for the past couple of years, they've only produced a limited number in 1/24 recently, the 488 being one. Unfortunately not as many as could be hoped for. They just announced the re-release of the 917/20 in 1/24 again so hopefully that means some revival of their 1/24 offerings.

Have you looked at all the Ferrari's they've produced in 1/12 in the past couple of years?

Sort of, I even bought their 250 GTO kit (the first they released), but once I realized that its a monster scale, I sold it and have not looked at any others. They are definitely cool (working engine internals and all), its just not my size. I have enough 1:1 to play with if I wanted anything bigger than 1:18/24th.

Hopefully they will bring back their 1/24th scale lineup again and release some new kits.

As soon as i saw they had released the 250 Lusso i ordered one, especially as i had previously seen the one you built Alex.

Now i just need the courage to build it.

I have the kit as well. Not sure why I bought it, maybe another version one day?

Re: Model Factory Hiro making Ferrari models in 24th again?

They came out with two versions of the 488 GTE Pro cars first late last year. Then in March? they added in some more liveries, so there's now 6 versions of the 488. I bought the kit last year so I have the decals for one of the pro cars, but I just ordered and received a set of decals to do the Weather Tech AM car that finished 3rd last year in GTE AM. They also did the Ford GT in 1/24 as well, but with the Revell kit coming, I'll wait. The new white resin is great tho, the detail is super crisp and the body, is very light in comparison to the older "yellow" resin they used. I'm not a huge fan of the white metal tho. It might be ok for 1/12 scale, but I find it a pain in the ass in 1/24, especially the roll cage, but I'm muddling my way through it.

Ah yes, that white metal. I remember black fingertips and fine metal dust everywhere very vividly.
