2 Questions -->
1) What kind of gas mileage should i be getting on my 2000 Volvo S40 T?
I drive mostly non-highway driving so the normal stop and go traffic... but it seems that after filling up the tank, my gas guage drops so fast. I reset the odometer and calculate the mpg, and it varies from anywhere from 13-18.... this is terrible gas mileage in my opinion. I just had the car serviced about a month ago so it cant be that theres a gas leak or anything. Anyone else have this same problem with this car?? 2) When i bought this car used, it had a 6 cd changer in the trunk that wasnt connected. Its the kind taht you keep in the trunk. My question is where does it plug into? It has some circular prong wire that goes somewhere... but where? is there an outlet in the trunk already? or must someone install it for me? thanks *one more thing-- weird question, i cant find it in the manual... Under the front armrest, where the window buttons are... what are the "S" and "W" buttons for??? when i push one of them an arrow lights up on the dashboard... what are those for? |

Re: 2 Questions -->
1.) I've had about 19-20mpg. Keep in mind that the on board computer isnt too accurate. Also depends how you drive. Sometimes i see it drop to 13. How often you filling your tank?
2.) There's gonna be an outlet, you'll spot it if you just look under the trunk lid area, it's gonna hang from the top. Can't miss it. If you can't find it, i can take pics tomorrow S= Sports mode, which reworks timing and shifting a little bit to give you a little bit more acceleration W= Winter Track, reduces downshifting while driving. Improves traction on wet/slippery surfaces. The arrow is for when W is on. Gas efficiency will suffer when you have these on. |
