I saw that but how did you know in the first place that the car in the posters was a Brunei car? Did you just email him asking him general questions about the car and he came back to you mentioning Brunei or was there some kind of evidence that it was a Brunei car before you emailed him?

I am sure basman007 can expand on that, but if you look through Nick Gleis' website you will find references to previous employment from Brunei. Not sure if that info is new on his website, or if no one ever paid attention to it before.

He had pictures of a Ferrari F90 and SL600 AMG that were definately from Brunei. + Remember the pictures of the Brunei Boeing/Airbus? He took those too. Then I saw that McLaren next to the Ferrari F90 (same style even) on his site (http://69.5.85.148/cgi-bin/ltdp.cgi?...d=9858411_8129) and automaticly assumed it was 008. I mailed him asking about his Brunei time in general. He replied that it was an amazing time and he was very priveldged to see the collection, but didn't want to offend any member of Royal Family and thus not share his story with anyone. He did mention that he worked for several members of the family (including PJ) and for the Amadeo corperation and that a part of his work was photographing a number of cars, but that he did more. I replied with another e-mail with very specific questions and asked him if he could answer the ones he could/wanted too. I had questions about a couple of marques, but an example of a McLaren question was that I asked him about the red an blue details on LM1 and 4. Unfortunately he didn't reply to that e-mail and so I also didn't get him to confirm it being 008 The car pictured is Cobalt Blue, alot of pics on the site were taken in or for Brunei (I'm still wondering about the F50 and XJ220 especially), he worked for PJ, his pics on the site don;t seem to be recent; that makes me all believe it really is 008. Maybe someone else can contact him about the McLaren subject (Erik?). I'm thinking about sending him another 'neutral' mail in the future, but I don't want to hassle(sp?) him.

The F50 is LHD so it wasn't taken in Brunei. All the F50's that made it to Brunei were RHD

That's why I wasn't sure about it. I should ask around about the lhd and rhd of the F50's some more or do you know that as a fact?

I know it as a fact. The ones that went to Brunei were RHD and some were left at Pininfarina once the whole operation fell apart. The ones at Pininfarina weren't converted and have ended up in places like the Marconi Museum in CA
