S12, what you think I should get under the hood?
Currently in my S12 im lookin at a VG30E. Now, i kinda want to get an SR20DET or maybe a CA18DET or CA20DET. or, if i can find it, maybe even a FJ20DET, but you guys need to tell me what i should go for.

The FJ20ET engine came stock in the Japenese Spec of the S12. First there was a non-turbo version, then the turbo came around after. It is a beefy engine, DOHC (named before adding a "D" meant dual) inline 4. A guy has one in as S12 in New Zealand that runs 10s. I'm currently in process of getting for my second S12. Check out www.fj20.com for more info.

Also check out Club S12, in the forums there you'll find lots of ideas and experience about S12 engine-swapping. If it were me, I would leave the VG30E in the car you have (87-88 200SX SE V6's are quite rare, after all.) and pick up a base-model 4-cylinder S12 or a turbo S12 for a CA18ET, CA18DET, SR20DET, or FJ20ET swap.
