Re: headers

They shouldnt leak if installed correctly. Reusing the stock manifold gasket may increase the likelihood of an exhaust leak. Pick up a new gasket from the dealer or a good aftermarket gasket and you'll be fine.

What? You're afraid of a little carbon-monoxide poisoning?

Just be sure to get only 1 dc race header with a new gasket.
I don't think you'll need more than one.

I wouldn't get the TODA header because you'll end up driving around with your Check Engine light on all day.
How are you supposed to know when you're really supposed to check the engine?
I.M.O. the few extra horsepower isn't worth the possible engine damage.

If your talking about the check engine light being on from the o2 sensor then just get an o2 simulator or there is a way to modify a piece that will fit the stock o2 sensor further away from the piping so it wont give you a check engine light. Ill find a link or post how to do it if anyones interested.

Re: headers

Yeah, you can use an 02 sensor.

As far as race headers:
TODA is handmade and produces about 5 more whp than the second best, DCRH.
The DC is cheap and provides great gains, that'd be a best bet IMO.
The Comptech is a high quality piece, but more expensive than the DCRH and slightly less power.
The Jackson Racing header was meant for the JR supercharger and therefore isn't tuned as well for NA, resulting in the least gains out of all, however it still yields good gains. I believe that this is the only possible RH that stands a chance at passing an emmisions test. Can't remember why, however.

Re: headers

Thanks for the answer on the TODA header. I will remember that when I purchase a TypeS in a couple of years.

But doesn't the Toda design also replace the Catalytic convertor with a dummy-cat.

It should still have a hole for you to put your o2 sensor in, you will get a check engine light from it so youll have to either get an o2 simularor or adapt something to push the 02 sensor further away from the direct exhaust path to keep it from throwing the code.
