Re: b16a/b vs b18b/c vs h22/23 vs b20 FAQ

I actually read in a honda tuning once that stock B series injectors are up to the task up to somewhere just over 200WHP I think it was, I know it was morre than 200 but less then 250, I dont think I have that mag anymore though, but thats a big step up from stock numbers. not sure what size injectors are in the acords V6, but the B series are 240cc's I believe.

what kit are you thinking of getting for your accord?

Assuming you have B-Series auto tranny (example: B18 Integra Auto Trannies will work) to go with it, yes, it will bolt up.

CAN SOMEONE HELP
Sounds like an IAC motor gone bad, happens all the time.
but I can't garantee thats the prob.
could be a tranny prob.
you could just replace the IAC motor from a junker and go from there or you could take it back to the people that tuned it and complain that they screwed somthin up and they'll probably give you a discount on whatever it needs.

IACV wouldnt have anything to do with redline, or at least it shouldnt. dont see how it could put the ecu into limp mode just because it wont be able to keep a steady idle. also everytime ive driven in the safe mode redline was like 3 grand. not saying its the same on all but thats my experience

Re: b16a/b vs b18b/c vs h22/23 vs b20 FAQ

1. look at your engine, its gonna say D15 or D16, thats how you tell, but an 88 DX, that has a 92HP 1.5L

2. easiest would be the DOHC ZC so then it would only be ECU and engine you have to deal with, and a little bit of wiring for the MPFI over the DPFI you have stock. next step would be a B series. Id probably go with 90-91 teg B18 just for ease of wiring, not as powerful as the newer ones but would be much better than that puny 1.5.

3. the Z6 and Y8 SOHC VTEC heads will bolt onto your block with some machining, and some wiring. but for the price, a ZC would be cheaper and if the ZC you got was truly a low mileage, good condition engine it'd be quicker than the mini-me swap would be.

4. I knew this at one time but forgot exactly what it stands for, its just a measurment of energy they use in other countries, like NM for torque instead of ft/lbs. I think that ones something like newton/meters or something but not sure, and PS I dont have a clue.

hi, im thinking on doing a swap into my crx but i was wondering if the H22 (190hp) will fit. i've heard and seen this on websites that this is possible, i asked two of my friends about this one of them said that it was imposible and the other said it could be possible but its costly and also h22 are heavy which makes it difficult when turning. im knew on this so need a lot of help...thanks....

Re: b16a/b vs b18b/c vs h22/23 vs b20 FAQ

I dont know the exact weight differences, but the B series is I think 50-60 pounds heavier than the D series, and then the H is another 60-70 on top of that, so you will have 110-130 lbs additional weight in the front, so the front will drop a bit, and youll probably need to get adjustable dampening shocks and turn them a bit harder than stock to deal with the extra weight. and it does upset the already front weight bias, but it shouldnt be so bad, then again ive never driven a H equipped civic. also Id look into some brake upgrades sicne the brakes are used to stopping a car with 130 pounds less weight and a lot less power. if you drive normally they ll handle it but when you hoss they will not work after so long. my HB's brakes already fade like none other just from how fast I get going from a stock B18.

and yes its possible, www.hasport.com
