Question looking for a few parts or sources for them

I have a 95 APV - nice shape as it has never been out of FL...Sometime ago the luggage rack was removed and I am looking for a source for either a used one or a source for a new set.
Funny that the unique features of these dustbusters have not drawn a bigger crowd and maybe a club or two....just sayin'

Re: looking for a few parts or sources for them

If the aftermarket rack suppliers like Thule and Yakima don't offer something to fit, the best option is likely a salvage yard. Remember that all the sister models would likely have compatible racks. Vehicles like the Pontiac Trans Sport, Olds Silhouette, as well as Lumina APV would be sources.

Re: looking for a few parts or sources for them

I bought and took a luggage rack off an APV at a junkyard. I bought the rubber things that go into the roof. I think I had spent about $60 total on it. Mine has no rack and I wanted one. Now I may not put it on as my transmission seems to be going bad. What would it be worth to you? Or would you want to sell that APV that has never been out of Florida? If it's really nice.

Ifixalot.....Maybe explain what has gone wrong with the transmission. There are several threads about that on this forum...but much more on the APV sibbling, Pontiac Transport. Tell details about your APV...3.4 or 3.8?, mileage....
EDIT:...Ahh..just noticed you replied TRansport thread to-day....so I guess you already have appraised the situation.....
