2002 Lincoln Continental

My car wouldnt start one night so I jumped it and brought it home. All throughout the night the interior light came on/off all night until the battery was all the way dead, so I bought a new battery and now it starts. Since then the inside lights do work right but now my keypad will not work at all. Ive used the digits in the trunk but my pad will not light up and the inside lights wont come on when I touch the pad.

Re: 2002 Lincoln Continental

The keypad is shorting out. Soon you will have to either replace the pad or disconnect it. Remove interior door panel and simple unplug it. This is fairly common. I have had it happen on my car. Not fun to go out in the moring and find out it is dead. Also look on the back of the keypad for the part number and buy one on e-bay, about $39.00.
