Re: things you would like in GT5

I just happened to check the info yesterday and Lambo is under the license of Electronic Arts and Sony doesn't want to pay the price to have the right to use their cars (they don't have to pay for most car producers since it's free publicity for them, that's the reason why there's no damage rendering). Porsche and Ferrari were under Microsoft license but Ferrari will be included in G.T. HD so it's not clear if Microsoft also dropped the Porsche license.

Re: things you would like in GT5

i think alot more cars would be a good idea, like instead of having 12 different skylines through in more average cars like the really old supras and for instance the best version of each year. Not retarded versions like the lx and then the lx 20th aniversary. That's just retarded. Maybe put both versions in if it's like the spura w/ a turbo version and a non-turbo but if it's just a version where say the car had more cup holders than the last one yeah either let us have an in cockpit view where we can see the cup holders or keep the mofo car out the game.

A lot more cars? How many of the GT4's 720+ cars have you actively used? Cmon, be realistic. You're right about the skyline though, I was trying to buy one just for fun to mess with it and guess what...I spent about 30 mins trying to pick one (Vspec, VspecII, Mspec, N1 NUR...), in the end I didnt buy anything and just turned off my PS2 in frustration! More models, not different versions of the same model. The thing I miss the most is the racing modifcation and regular street cars like the camry, gs400 and taurus just to name a few. As for the online feature some people told me they have it in GT4 but not officialy. The thing with the cup holders cracked me up..thanks.

Re: things you would like in GT5

Here's some realism for ya i may not have used all of the cars but i may be a fan of some of the great car they didn't put in the game the s12 for instance and alot of great old muscle cars too like the zL1 ifu know what that is and the pontiac judge. I mean hello it isn't just ur taste they need to cater too dude they need to have cars for everyone. Some people like old cars so they need to take out a couple of those skylines(which are exactly the same) and put in some more cars from different eras like 50's 40's and 30's escpecially.

Re: things you would like in GT5

I admit that doing races in cars from the 30's would be really cool

I agree with you 100% about the skylines, I would love some of the pre-war era cars too. They have the Audi Streamliner or something I think. As for the muscle cars, I'm generally not a big fan of those but still agree with you that they should put more in since they have many Jap cars fom that time period. But you do have to admit that GT started out being about everyday cars and JGTC cars...not muscle cars.

You do realize that they wont/cant put everything in the next one or else what would GT6 be about, you know? Its a businss after all...if they throw everything into the next one they wont have anything for the one after that. Something I see most likely to appear in GT5 by looking at other games out now are downloadable cars and tracks. And honestly, I dont like how the game "ends" only half way with the driving missions being optional, this way I dont want to do them since I already "beat" the game, the other GT's were longer and that was the beauty of them. Also they should return with the horsepower classes.

Re: things you would like in GT5

I personally find it way much more fun to tune a everyday car than to play with an already pre-tuned car like the Skyline, you can feel the difference a lot more... well, I think so...

I'd like to drive an El Camino

Hell yea, thats what I loved the first two GTs for. Taking a Mitsubishi Galant (or something of that nature) and making it a monster...lol...but to be honest though, I don't know why I've been writing this. I'm trying to sell my PS2 (and XBOX) becasue I have no time for video games lately. College and work take up most of the time, whatever is left goes to my girl and friends. I play games once a month, if I'm lucky. I tried playing Forza and gave up because it takes serious dedication to complete that game. I probaly will NOT be geting the next GT becasue I won't pay 500 or 600 for a PS3! Its a lot of money for a toy I know I won't use that much, even if it has the BLu-ray or whatever. That money can go towards my real car.

Sorry for getting off topic...definatly more common, everyday street cars that we see on the road but still add a few new racers (and concepts) here and there.

Re: things you would like in GT5

i have to agree with the skylines, 1 for each generation of the gtr r series, and a racing version of em, 6 total, and wen u buy a car from a used dealer it doesn't come up again, how about being able to change the color of the car, a f'in pink car, i think not. how about a few car companies more
porsche(i want my damn 924) ferrari, lambo, mclaren, vector(look at my user name) venturi, ultima, get sponsers on ur car(without placing them there urself like forza) a dodge stealth(i own a real tt, but it's not in the game) fiat, bugatti, maseratti, panoz roadster, i'm a car guy, i could name cars that no one has ever heard of. i'm definitly on board for makinga list and sending it, also how bout some tracks, sebring, daytona, rd atlanta, LE MANS, i hate fantasy tracks
NEW ONE HAS LIKE 20 CARS PER RACE

They did have Le Mans, 2 versions, with the chicanes and w/o. Yea...after Forza had all thos real life tracks I think GT will have no choice but to include more, real life tracks.

Re: things you would like in GT5

true everyone is a car guy or woman here, but i just want a huge ass selection of cars, and does anybody know how to get the ford gt90 in gt2, i could never figure that out. i don't think that there should be lisences, just unlock different things, like forza, i thought honestly that that is a better game. true with gt5 and forza 2 i think with gt5 being on the better system and running a different way completely that forza 2 is not gonna even come close but we'll have to c,. also when does gt4 hd come out, it looks amazing, almost real, it's scary

Re: things you would like in GT5

mechanically it's a rebadged gto, along with the 3k gt, but i like dodge and i don't like mitsubishi, that and some people prefer the stealths looks over the other two. also they are different cars, wieght is different, and in a racing game weight helps, in the real world, 100lbs off a car is about a tenth of a second in acceleration. also in forza 1 they have both cars, and o yea they are put in 2 different classes because they are not exactly the same.

Re: things you would like in GT5

i also think that u should come up in local events, like in the usa, u start running a slightly modified version of a street car(i.e:rsx with a rool cage) also drive around the town would be cool, just don't go to the nfsu stuff. a calender events, like not all races are available whenever u want to race em, 24hrs le mans in june, atlanta in sept and so on, also bring back the hp cap, race a 900hp skyline vs. a 210hp talon, i dont think that's even fair
