Want to practice shading...

Well, asaenz asked me to put something together so ya'll could do a little practicing with shading. I tried to find a photo that had good shading, a great angle, and would be fun to draw. So, here is one of Boyd Coddington's roadsters. It's been so long since I've drawn a nice ride, I'll most likely be practicing with this photo as well. Have fun

I'm not the teacher, just the teacher's assistant You can use these pics to try your hand at what asaenz has been talking about, then post that and we can critique each others work. I'm going to try my hand at it, and see if I can qualify to give a tutorial or not. I'll probably post mine monday morning, I'll be on the golf course all day tomorrow. :sun:

im almost done my quiky, it actually turned out really good!, just happy i dont have to draw it.... no pics cuz i dunm wanna turen this into a progress report

ok done, it looks alot better in real life, i have to update my old camera...

i didnt draw rims cuz the picture i printed out was pretty small, couldnt draw them very good... this was a quiky, came out pretty good for somthing that i didnt have to draw

mine looks almost like yours....i need to scan mine i just got finshed and it turned out alot better then i thought....my hand hurts now...lol

hey thnx for the comments...im new to shading cars and all the reflections and stuff....for the rims...they werent to hard but i messed up a couple times

ok i got bored so i printed out asaenz' dead skyline project(i hope you dont mind) i did a pretty bad job.. im hoping to get some books and get better but here it is

btw i only used led pencil and finger.. no stumps or torts

Nah man I don't mind. It looks good. I am going to have to come back and redo that Lieb skyline. It is a great looking car. Well actually its the photo that makes it look really good.

Great job, Jeff. Get those smugging tools and you will be happy.
They are really cheap like a couple of bucks.
