Vector W8 TwinTurbo car from 10th grade
I found this car that I drew from 10th grade back in 1992.
I was 16 going on 17 yrs of age.....don't laugh yes I failed a grade...it was third grade. That scared me for life, kids made fun of me. I actually started 3rd grade then got sent back to second....boy did I catch havoc for that on the playground.....They laughed and said look at al he is back in second grade, what a dummy. Anyway, I thought I post it as form of encouragement. Many of you are younger than I was at that time of this drawing and you draw as good if not better than I did. My point is doing art and making it look up to par the way you want it to, takes time.

Hey, a fellow class of '94er! Cool. The ole vector twin turbo. Man, I remember when that came out. I don't think I ever did sketch it though. I always was into trucks. Boy that brings back memories. I'm going to have to start digging threw my sketch books to see if I can find anything good.

Thanks mike.
Hey Ridin. Can you remember what movie the Vector was in? It was some movie dealing with the Japanese mafia...one of the mafia guys had a red or silver Vector...it was blown up in the move. I cannot believe it is almost 10 yrs since I graduated....I called an old friend up from high school whom I haven't spoken to in 9 years....He and I took art together in high school. He is a graphic renderer now...I am trying to get him to start posting some of his work. al...so you have a 350 in your Chevy?

Uh ho...movie trivia. I can't for the life of me remember the movie. Yep, almost ten years. That's just not right. :sun:
350...Nope. I'm freakin' stuck with a little 305. It does run quite well for a small 8 though (just a few small mods ) I'm still trying to deside whether or not I want to rebuild it to a 327, then supercharge and/or NOS it...or go with a 383 stroker. Something about being able to blow somebody away with a 305/327 just sounds like fun. Either way...it's going to take some dough. |

If I am not mistaken it is cheaper to go the 350/383 stroked. Heck I say go 350 slap some high compress. heads/pistons and call it a day. Maybe NOS...But heck 350 with 350-400 ponies that truck will be quick. Won't need any power adders IMHO....and then you can save your money....so you have those rims that spin when stopped at red lights?
I saw a car with those I think it was 92-94 impala or something...it was sweet.

Oh no...to be quite honest I'm not really into the spinning rim thing. It just looks good in an avatar. Animated gifs are just cool . I'm rollin 17" Billet and am plenty happy with that. Shoot the tires I just bought were $950...I could only imagine what that would cost for 20's.
The engine thing I'm still kicking around. I'm even thinking of a 350 TPI out of a camero or early vette. The 383 stroker would definately be cheaper, but there is something about having that orginal engine still under the hood that would be cool. Even if it has been bored and stroked to a 327. And I love the sound of that...327. What a classic chevy engine number. I've got awhile before I'll need to do anything...right now my tranny is begging for a little attention. Which spells B&M and corvette billet servos. YEA!!!! It also spells about 1,250-1,500 bones. BOOOO!!! :hehe: |

aaah if I'm not mistaken those are centerline rims or maybe boyds.
I had centerline rims on my toyota lowrider. Your truck looks really nice....I bet the TPI would be a good engine...anyway....cool

Heee...Heee...hee. A little off topic never hurt nobody. Just got to keep it at a minimum. Although, it is your thread...so you have the right to tear it up right?
And actually...I have a really nice peice of art at home that has my Zeniths incorporated in it. It's a metal relief plate. It's one of my favorite pieces of art. I'll see if I can snap a shot of it sometime soon. |
