As long as this topic is spinning off into space, Fritz take a look at this:

Looks very interesting... Although expensive...

Im sorry someguy, but I really have to say this.

Have you ever noticed how common completly redesigned suspension components are for the Mustang? even the new ones.
While Hondas get a good range of adjustable coilovers and thats it. Unless you want expensive lightened parts, which are exactly the same as the stock parts.

Someone needs to explain to Ford that the round wheel shaped thing in frount of the driver is ment to be just as functional as the pedal on the right hand side.

Now while we're on the topic, (or off the topic as the case maybe) How is your car coming along?

400hp out of a D16Z6 all-motor?

I don't even have to explain why it won't work

Seeing as how Honda "only" got around...260 (approx.) out of their F1 1.5Ls. (Methanol right Moppie? i dunno...i'm guessing)

um...what thread is this? And why is still open?

Anyway...there was an article about a 1.5L civic hatch, in one of the magazines, non vtec that ran 11's. Pretty impressive, eh? He had a carb. running to each intake port. I am sure that it was extremely expensive. I was merely stating that I like to be the underdog.

400+ hp???

400hp from a D series engine is possible. and it wouldn't surprise me if it hasn't already been done.

However you won't do it with only $1800, and theres no way it will be a streetable engine, or for that matter a relaible race engine.
As a project for an enginer and profesinal engine builder with to much time and money on thier hands its a pluasible idea.
For a kid with a dream, it will remian a dream.

You don't have to tell me the stock suspension is basically junk. The only thing it really has going for it is that you can fit real big tires (275s on the front). Other then that, its a big hunk of steaming stamped steel crap.

Yeah, but I've never seen a Civic with adjustable control arms, adjustable bump steer, 315s, and Alcon 6 pot brakes on the front, and 500 hp at the rear either. Is it where you start or where you finish?

At least they aren't using those square wheels anymore. Those were horrible.

She's getting ready to go under the knife for basically what's pictured above, which is sitting on my kitchen table right now. Then after I get my Christmas Bonus (don't ask me why I get a "Christmas" bonus a month after Christmas), I'll have to figure out my budget for the forced induction.

Hmmm... They might have go back to them since some guy in Austrailia just patented the wheel. No kidding.

The actual patent for the "circular transportation facilitation device":

The news story:
http://it.mycareer.com.au/news/2001/...XQ7G9HJOC.html

And with that, consider this wildly off-topic, inane, pointless thread closed.
