.

I don't really know. Most people say the 302 V8 Mustang could beat the 305 V8 Camaro in the 80's. I don't think the power was much different in both cars.

But why worry yourself over it. If you're looking at a late 80's early 90's Camaro, get the 350 V8. You'll beat the 302 Mustang and the 305 Camaro. Get the stronger running engine of the time. Unfortunately they only came in automatic though.

This of course brings up a whole different point. Why can't domestics build cars that don't fuck up? They already had to recall that badass Cobra. Its amazing to me that in 1989 nissan developed a 3.0L that at 9psi made 300 hp. In 1990, Toyota made a 3.0 that made 320hp at 12psi. These cars regularly run to over 100K miles on stock turbos, and running at least 2x the boost that a new cobra runs. What about good engineering and build quality? Hard to make the imports fall when your shit has cooked pistons cause Ford engineers can't even do the math to make a S/C pulley the correct size.:finger:
Also, the n/a versions of these 3.0Ls were 220-222hp. Where is a domestic 3.0L V6 that naturally aspirated makes 222hp? Chevy's 3.8 L only makes 200, and its got nearly 25% more displacement (which there is supposed to be no replacement for, right) And these engines are 10 years old. BMW just put out a 230 hp 3.0 for the Z4, its the first engine I've heard of to produce more than the VG30DE's 222hp off 3.0L (though that doesn't mean its the only one, just the only one I know)

I fail to see your Point... are you saying Import Motors are better?

Some are... some aren't. Big deal get over it.
