Re: what do u think is the best
Wow, talk about opening a HUGE can of worms!!
Since there are so many different types of bikes and riders, I think a better title would be "what is your favorite bike?" That would allow for personal expression and less arguing. That being said, I still think the Honda VFR's and the late 70's-early 80's UJM's were the best due to their all around nature. I absolutely love my current bike (01 Harley Fatboy), but to attempt to describe it as the best would be arrogant to say the least. It's heavy, not real fast, and can't carve corners, but it's beautiful, fits how I ride, sounds incredible and turns heads. If I were ever to get rid of it, I would probably replace it with something a little more long distance comfortable like a Road King, Dresser or possibly a Gold Wing or ST1300 Honda (yeah, I'm old, shut up Blayne, ). If i could have two bikes, a naked sport bike would be in my garage too, depending on what fits me best.

I wouldn't say your old...........
and I'm catching up too. for me the Ducati 1098 is my dream sports right now. Cruiser would be the Nightrod and if i had to buy a bike now...... probably the CBR1100XX. its a better riding position than the Hyabusa for me

Re: what do u think is the best
Wow, there are so many........
I used to say my favourite bike is my next one.........oddball bikes are attractive. I would love a Moto Guzzi.....or a Honda with their flat six cyl engine. I would like to get a Suzuki RE5 (30 year old Rotary-engined bike) so I could take off the tank badges and have people ask 'what the hell is that'?? The engine looks like the guts from an air conditioner, and not like a motorcycle. An early '80's Honda CBX would be cool, (or a Benelli Sei) because an air cooled straight six looks cool....... Or any really old bike, like an original Indian or old Triumph or BSA. |
