I'm not sure that there are any other peugeot 407 owners here, but if you could explain the issue I'm allmost sure someone could come up with a solution for it.

What exactly do you mean by writing "Only getting 41 MPG on a run"?

Edit: thanks wallflowers99.

Have purchased a 407 in December 2004.
This car is excellent.

Just one thing:
The engine does not start again immediately after switching off the engine. The Peugeot service centre informed me that this is normal. You have to wait for minutes before starting the engine again.

MPG = Mile Per Gallon

No offence RAN, but that's not much help to anyone.

Fuel consumption

hello,

I have the 2.2L petrol.
I use 98RON Unleaded and average Under 9.5L per 100Km for both mixed city highway driving.
Although I do really 'use' my engine.
cruising on highway with cruise control gives 7.4L /100Km average

Hope this helps

Re: Peugeot 407

I have a huge prob with my 407, 1.6lt diesel
I just baught it 2 yrs ago and now the turbo is giving out black smoke... Its wierd as the garrett GT1544 is designed for 2.2 bar and the car is running at 1.3-1.44 bar. Plz help coz i dnt know what to do! The black smoke is coming from the exaust part of the turbo, the part which is under the cover on the engine. thnx
