2001 crankshaft position sensor

Is this something that a father can do in a garage who has a lot of experience with cars - or is this too deep of a job? Dealer wants $761.00, found another place for $300.00, my father is totally willing to do it - but he does not know where that part is located on this car and the car is not near him - if somebody can tell us where this part is located? Thanks in advance for any replies!

Wouldn't the location diagram be located on Hyundai Webtech?

Re: 2001 crankshaft position sensor

Oh, now I find out that is should be covered under the 10 year 100,000 mile warranty.

Called the dealer, he says he'll check into it for me???

Does anyone know if it's covered or not?

Thanks,
Kevin

I am looking over the Official Warranty Coverage Guide and I do not see anything about the crankshaft either. Its not listed. Strange. Maybe LowSonoma can find something on his internal screens to see if its under warranty.
