I thought a "real" Mercury Cougar looked like the ones built around 1967-1973 ? Later on Ford called this and that and whatever... a mercury Cougar. Am i right ?

I have just bought a "real one" from 1970. A RX7 convertible for 14.200$ in near mint condition, very well restored. One of the 1,977 ex made that year. I'm really happy

I'm brand new here. I've got a 2001 Cougar, four cyl five speed. Currently its red, but it's going to get painted soon. Its previous owner wasn't very nice to it, it has quite a few light scratches, and two small (1/8") chips through the paint. Any suggestions on colors? Anyway, I'm a senior in high school so my upgrading budget is thing, but if you've got any ideas throw them my way.

New cougar owner

What up! I usually like rice burners more but I got a 94 Cougar XR-7 for free from my parents because my mom didn't change the oil for 20,000 miles and she blew the head gasket. My Coug also needs a master cylender, rotors, fuel pump/filter and most importantly a new oil pump. Believe it or not it will start up. But after it gets hot and I turn it off it won't start again until it gets cold. Also needs MAJOR tune-up. Well, that's my cougar... how depressing.

I am looking into a Black 99 Cougar. It's stick which is a BIG selling point for me. Anyone have any advice on whether its a good buy or not? Im only a Junior in High School so I want to do customization under a budget. A body kit is about the first thing im going for. So... any advice?
