Re: questions

in english please? do you have a fox body? is so, you can't swap anything from the 89-97 cougar and the following paragraph won't mean anything to ya. i mean i'm sure you could make things fit, but it would be time consuming and a lot of fabrication.

if you have an mn12 (89-97) and if you're talking about the exterior door handles, you can get 96/97 color coded door handles. and it is possible to swap the front end to a 96/97, but you'll need many parts, and you'll have to change headlight wiring harnesses to accomodate for the 2 bulb headlight system.

mines a 91 people told me its a fox body cause it shares parts with the 5.0 stang of course i could be wrong but its not my fault. not talking about the handles im talking about the nasty non working code buttons. i went to 5 dealers and none of them could find the codes and it looks tacky i want it off. i got access to a complete 97 the front and interior are clean. mines black on black this one is white with beige i want the beige leather on mine and i want the front clip and tails

Re: questions

take the buttons out and fill the space. or you could swap doors, but that would be more of a pain.

Re: questions

any door from any mn12 will fit. but you probably want one from the same body style. i don't know the cougar body style break down, but i believe it's 89-95 that all shared the same body panels. in 96 they added the side cladding as seen on the thunderbirds.

Re: questions

if you swap to a 96/97 front bumper, you will have the molding line that flows from the side body panels. it's no big deal though. people swap to the later style front ends all the time and it looks fine.

and it will clear no problem. but you will need many parts.

hood
headlights
corner lights
front bumper cover
the actual front bumper (the foam under the bumper cover)
headlight wiring harness (to accomodate for the two bulb headlight system in the 96/97 lights)
96/97 header panel (what the headlights attach to)
96/97 hood release latch

Re: questions

Is there any way to clear your stock headlights on a 99 cougar?? The reflectors look like they pop right out. Any ideas??
