Spewing Antifreeze. What is this thing?
Good evening all. Was hoping some more mechanically inclined folks could help me out. Have a Haynes book en route but hoping to identify this problem this week.
I started smelling antifreeze from my 2000 expedition, popped the hood and saw it spewing from the part shown in the picture below. Hoping its just a matter of popping on a replacement but need to know what the darned this is first. Any advice? Would very much appreciate any clues. Thanks, Tim |

After more research it looks like the problem park is a leaky rubber cap on some kind of nipple coming out of the intake manifold. Going to check with autozone to see if I can locate the cap. Here's hoping this is a $3 fix.

If they don't have a cap a piece of proper sized hose two hose clamps and a bolt will work.
