Spewing Antifreeze. What is this thing?

Good evening all. Was hoping some more mechanically inclined folks could help me out. Have a Haynes book en route but hoping to identify this problem this week.

I started smelling antifreeze from my 2000 expedition, popped the hood and saw it spewing from the part shown in the picture below. Hoping its just a matter of popping on a replacement but need to know what the darned this is first. Any advice? Would very much appreciate any clues. Thanks,

Tim

After more research it looks like the problem park is a leaky rubber cap on some kind of nipple coming out of the intake manifold. Going to check with autozone to see if I can locate the cap. Here's hoping this is a $3 fix.

If they don't have a cap a piece of proper sized hose two hose clamps and a bolt will work.
