Tires and struts

OK, I am a newbe here, just got my 2001 coupe and the 90% tires remaining turned out to be about 40% and the inside edge is almost worn out on the front. (ebay car)
The front and rear are both 225-45 R17 but Tirerack suggests the rear should be 245-40 R17. The car did not come with an owners manual so I do not know.
And with 110K miles, seems like a good time to replace the front struts, or do they last much longer?

Hey I had the same problem, but I didn't see a reply on here so I looked around the net and found this great site. It had a lot of info and was really clear on what to do in these situations. Check it out! I saved a lot of money because of them. [:
