I'd cut a hole in the floor large enough for both feet to fit thru.
That way when you "floor it", you'll go down the road straight instead of going in circles if you only "floor it" with your right foot.

What's corny, my reply or the original post?

Let's take a closer look-see.
1963 SWC, with auto tranny, perhaps a 2 speed turbo-hydromatic,the auto of choice back in those days, which the poster never specified. Anybody could look up motor specs and state 327CI,250HP, but why no mention of the type of tansmission? What's the deal with this statement ; 'And when i floor it my car feels like there is no first gear thus i cant race anybody"

Now my friend Fred (or is it Barney Rubble) tells me that what I suggested was a good "mod" for this car.

If you had a $35,000 plus collector car, would you be complaining about a paltry 250HP?. I wouldn't. You can't race anything but the UPS truck with that. (perhaps this relates to an earlier post about a stolen '63 http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=230110

If this guy (or Gal) really wants to upgrade this car, I'll sell my '85 4+3
manual tranny to him/her. Today's special cash price of only $10,500. (I'll throw in the rest of the car, you pick-up) You'll have a very responsive 1st gear with that. (And with the transaxle I'm including, 2nd,3rd,4th, and 5th would make a '63 quite the screamer, even at stock motor ratings)

Little gtp listen my pops has got a 66 coupe but its got a 427 ci motor its really a bad AzZ car.. but to what your saying you should not mod that car if the numbers match!if they dont you can change a few things around and it wont hurt you that much, sounds like you have a trans problem you need to find some one that is a specialist with old vettes and always KEEP YOUR OLD PARTS. But just like i said if those numbers match DONT TOUCH IT!!!! Zo6 BoY

Re: hi i have....

If its a completely stock 63 split window with 250 hp 327 and powerglide I wouldnt touch it.Trade it to someone for a mustange gt and let them appreciate its classic value. Its to valuable to pound the snot out of.
