Re: Harley Next Project 1/8
Thank you very much guys!
Now it's time for carburator! Just like a few of gallons passed throught the carb, to run the knuckle for miles and miles..

Re: Harley Next Project 1/8
Wow this is amazing scratch building. Topnotch work!! If I can just add a bit of criticism, the speedometer gauge really takes away from the build. If there is no way to print a better one maybe putting a blob of clear glue on it to create a lens? Keep us posted.

Re: Harley Next Project 1/8
I know.. the speedometer is not the best.. the print isn't very well..
I've already create a lens with a blob of clear glue, but the withdrawal of the glue has made sure that the lens effect will subside, I have to put some other layer of glue to make the effect appreciable.. These days I've also added some details on the exhaust just to make it more real.. Using a mix of oil-colors I made some thin lines inside of the welds, to give a little more depth to colors and much more realism to the exhaust manifold..

Re: Harley Next Project 1/8
I Added a few other details on the exhaust using oil paints..
Now it has the correct welding depth and three-dimensionality effect.. The support of the front brake caliper has been rebuilt and added a braided cable to simulate the oil line.. I've also done some tools for the workshop !

Re: Harley Next Project 1/8
Thank you very much guys!!
Trying to improve the chain kit, I destroyed it.. :-) I wanted to achieve in photoengraving so I started to draw it to the pc, but I would not have enought time to complete it.. My ita friend Aleks built for me a perfect 1/8 scale chain.. So i built sprocket and rear sprocket using some photos as reference, and a piece of 1mm plasticard, then mounted them all..

Re: Harley Next Project 1/8
Some rusty effect for the abandoned bike of diorama..
I used for the first time in my life the military "salt" technique, and i'm very satisfied!

Finally I took some photos of the sprockets and chain, all painted with alclad and than treated with oil colours, to give them some life..
