RPM vs MPH
I have a 71 TR6 with a four speed transmission. I'm a little concerned that my tachometer isn't accurate. Right now, at 60mph, my tach reads over 4000 rpm. Does anyone know if this is accurate or normal?
I'm looking at the HVDA conversion with a Toyota 5-speed transmission. Most of the comments that I see seem to be positive. |

and what is this conversion/tranny?? it sounds like something i might do, either that or spend my retirement money on a 5 speed fron vicky!! p.s. i changed my 50 profile tires to stock sized 205/70r15, and the tach reads 25-2600 at 55. Last edited by excheezhead; 08-20-2007 at 08:58 PM. |

Re: RPM vs MPH
humm.
My TR6 did that 4k rpm at 60mph too. Oh well. ----------------- '74 TR6, Red, Weber carbs, upgraded ign. components. Poor condition, been sitting for about 5 years, doesn't run now, ran 5 years ago, convert top and windshield smashed by a tree. I miss driving it. |
