As a side note, just before the shockwave blows them into the air, the powdery substance coming off the car and the bus is the paint vaporizing.

While a thermonuclear warhead maybe be over kill for the given situation, I do suggest you think about it. However I will admit that Zgringo's way is probably much more effective than mine so far as getting compensation for your car trouble is concerned.

Re: Transmission gear oil

The sad thing is I could care less about the $.
I just wish the idiot's would have payed attention to waht they were doing. I was really looking forward to my thanksgiving drive through the Blue Ridge, But they have yanked that.

P.S. Maybe the guy with the 100mph ford could loan me his truck. Nada it would never make the curve.

Re: Transmission gear oil

I just got in and read your emails. Thanks for the support.
My good friend Doug The Spider Man, has a very good mechanic in Lancaster S.C. who keeps his two Z's running. I'm sure I won't be in the pit much longer.

I quickly poped open the brief case which came with my one owner 87Z and promptly showed him all the servicing and repair reports for my Z since 1987. No resolve.

My son spoke with his shop teacher who races RX'8s in the SCCA.
He informed my son that he was very familiar with the 5 spd. Z trans.
and has built many because they are real good trans. but if they are overfilled they are ruined. The bearings will burn up because of the extra friction, the shop teacher went on to explain basically every thing that i had experienced with my trans. he even new that it would only go into fourth gear. He explained; that this is because 4th is the direct line gear in the trans. all others are extensions which are ingaged by the cluster or input shaft.
Now I just need to figure out my next step?

Any Ideas?
wow.....i live in cleveland TN, my cousin lives in athens and had mr wilson last year as his teacher. what a coincidence that i find you, while searching for problems with my 300zx
