Costco Kirkland Tires

Anyone have any experience with these tires? I want the BFG ATs, but Costco doesn't sell them anymore. They're $112 per tire at Sears, not including mounting, valve stems etc. Costco has their Kirkland brand All Terrains, 31x10.5x15, mounted, valve stems, road hazard, everything for $88.99.The tread looks almost identical to the BFG's, and I would save close to $200.

Dunno, but if they look a lot like the BFGs, they could be yet another version of the General Grabber AT, also seen as the Brigadier Sidewinder AT. Here's a pic of the tread:

How many plys do they have?

I'm surprised Costco doesn't sell the ATs any more. Can you special order them? I talked to them about the M/Ts a while back and they said that although they don't stock them, they could order them.

If you want the ATs, then check around. In Kirkland alone there are probably a dozen places that sell BFG. I've always been impressed with Discount Tire, and I'm sure they'll be anyone's price. Call around and get a bidding war going....

I'll have to check into special ordering the BFGs. I've had them before, never on my Xterra, but I loved 'em. I'd hate to get the other ones and end up not liking them, whishing I had spent the extra money. On the other hand, money's a little tight right now and that's a big difference in price. Decisions...

Thumbs up Kirkland Tires

If anyone is interested, I purchased a set of the Kirkland Tires and now have 60 thousand miles on them. They have performed very well the entire time I have had them.

I have a 1995 1/2 Toyota Tacoma Extra-Cab SR-5 4X4 with the V6.

The only problem I have seen with them is that in the last 5,000 miles or so, they do not grip as well when it first starts raining. The tread is getting pretty low since they have over 60,000 miles on them so I think this is to be expected.

Just thought I would share even though this is not the most current post.

Costco tires

Just bought a set a couple days ago. Had to go to two different Costco's, as they say these are discontinued tires. (4) @ $360 for 31's and / Costco's warranty, they cant be beat. The salesmen at both locations say these are made by BFG. I like them.

Re: Costco Kirkland Tires

In the last ten years, I've bought nothing but Kirkland tires. You save a lot of money using their name, and the quality is great.
