Revell Cooper...
Well, I was talking to my sister one day, and we got on the subject of car modeling. She thinks it's a really great hobby, and suggested that we build a mini cooper model, while I coach her. (she's a big fan of the new mini's)
So I mosied on down to my hobby shop where I had seen a mini in the past, and I asked the guy; "what, no mini?" and he said "Revell just dicontinued them, I was trying to order them yesterday." He said, and I agree, that it doesn't make much sense to ditch the model, just 2 years in the making, especially when it's a popular car. Anyway, that brings me to two questions. 1: Do you think revell will make another, maybe a Mini Cooper S? 2: Is there any other company that makes the new mini's?

Do all revells fit badly? I had some trouble with my `70 mustang, but it was my first model, so I figured I was doing something wrong.

Re: Revell Cooper...
Look in your phone book for hobby shops, or try an internet site listed in the FAQ thread.

The mini was a very popular kit where i am. Every time i went in my LHS for one and asked they said they just sold out. Then when i went in and didn't need one that had like 6 and I went back less than a week later and all where gone. Im really surprised they distcontinued it because of fitment issues, because it obviously fit well enough to release in the first place according to them.
Yes, most revells have some little fitment problems except the revell civic and integra plastic kits. Those are the best kits they made (aside from revell germany).

Hey guys, Not sure of where your locations are, but the Wal-Mart in my town is selling Revell 4 paks for $20 and the Mini Cooper is in every four pack they have on the shelf. You get two snap and two glue kits, the Mini being one of them. The snap kits consist of the Daytona Corvette pace car, and the 32 Ford. The other glue kit I believe is the VW rabbit. That is the only kit that chnges in the packs.
So you may want to check out your local wal-mart and see if they have them. At $5 a kit, that isn't bad, maybe sell the others off or trade them. Chris |

I have very little trouble with my build.
The front bumper could have used some mounting tabs, and it is easer to mount the bumper and grill to the body before you put the body on the chassis. I hope they make an 'S'. a 'John Cooper Works' version would be cool too.

Re: Revell Cooper...
Cool, I'll have to check walmart and some other places... a craft store near me has revells every once in a while. It's worth a shot.

I ordered mine off the internet. I checked everywhere possible, and most places had tons of revells, but no coopers. Oh well, I'll have it within a couple of weeks, I'll be pre-occupied by my 3-viddy-Z in the meantime.
