97 spyder 2.4 sohc accleration problem

i just got a 97 spyder eclipse 2.4l sohc. whenever i go to take off if i give it more than 10% of the gass it willl do almmost nothing. but if u just barley give it the gass it will go fine. sometimes it will not do this and run fine... messes up WAY more then it runs right. sometimes the belts just start squeeling and the lights will dime but thats not that big of a problem. everyone keeps telling me its the mass air flow. if u unplug it u it will not streaghtin up at all. usuley if u get it over 3000rpm it will go fine but sometimes that dose not work eather. i just dont understand what the problem is with it. in dier need of help b4 i spend alot of money replacing stuff thats not broke. please help

Does the car have a check engine light on? You at least need to tighten the belts if not replace it. The MAF is a good place to start checking, any leaks after it and the car will run pretty bad.

You need to get the codes pulled on the car. Its there too tell you there is a problem so get that checked out and it will give you a direction to start looking in.
